Stage 8 – Cumbria

A long but pleasant day in all…

So, this was the view last night

And this was the view this evening

In between there was some cycling.

Along the valley

Eat chocolate cake and drink coffee, and make odd faces for the camera

In the last photo there, the hills you see in the distance are the North Penines, which is where I am now.

Met a guy from Bath in Appleby today, he was cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End. He was as foggy as me on exactly which day he was on, but we both thought about day 8 was right.

Ate cannelloni for lunch.

Met a young couple from Germany, also bike touring / packing, at the campsite so had a good chat with them.

Saw a red squirrel, buzzard and a badger today. 😀

Long climb in the morning, so that’ll do for tonight.
