North, North to the Wall!
Leaving the nice German couple as they went south, I headed north to the Wall.
Was cold this morning, and despite the two hour climb up Hartside I had to add some layers. Great views back towards the Lakes, although the clouds were gathering
The long descent was fun, exhilarating, but really cold.
After that, still hilly, but comparatively flatter. Rained a bit. Was cold generally.
This river, I assume is the Tyne
Hid from the rain here (see photo) – pretty sure I was the only visitor that day…
Eventually arrived, fairly damp at the campsite. These friendly lot insisted it was great weather
Last splash of sunshine cheered me up, lovely campsite. Friendly neighbours too.
